Board of Directors | Mr. Richard Emode

Richard Emode

Mr. Richard Emode is a Geodetic Engineer and a well rounded professional with over twenty-three years of engineering and surveying hands on experiences. He is a member of the Ontario Society of Civil Engineers, Association of Ontario Land Suveryors, the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is also active within the Disciplinary and registration committees of the Ontario Association of Professional Engineers.

Mr. Emode studied Engineering at the University of New Brunswick in Canada. His technical experience is as expansive as they are varied: he has delivered GPS training to GIS Specialist around the Province of Ontario; implemented GPS applications to various Highway design and constructions, trained engineers from India on GPS applications to Highway Engineering, sponsored by the United Nations and World Bank. He was a participant in the joint North American (Canada, USA, & Mexico) 1st Global Positioning System’s Global Orbit Tracking Experiment (GOTEX-1) Project.

Mr. Emode is currently involved in a multi-billion US dollars three year project- to procure, design, build, construct, and manage a nickel mine in Ambatovy, Madagascar. Prior to this, he managed a multi- million dollar Federal Government of Canada National Economic & Employment Development (NEED) Program. He was also part of the team that designed the seats of The Sky Dome (a sporting complex) in Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Emode takes an active role in assisting various community causes. He firmly supports the mission and vision of Grace Foundation and abides by the philosophy of providing opportunities for advancement to deserving people; disenfranchised through no fault of theirs- especially the young and vulnerable in society. Mr. Emode readily acknowledges that he is where he is today because of the scholarship he received as a young man, which gave a rural boy from Edo State, Nigeria, who had lost his father at the age of ten, an opportunity to achieve his educational dreams. Mr. Emode is happily married with four children.
